Funerals

Serving people in times of loss and bereavement is a significant part of the ministry of First Baptist Church. We regularly host services and receptions in our building to celebrate the lives of people from our congregation and from the community at large. Our clergy team and musicians are equipped to walk alongside people before and after a loss, and find fitting ways to express grief and gratitude, comfort and celebration of life. We express loss and hope in the Christian tradition – including prayer, scripture, song and personal tributes – yet there are many diverse ways of doing this. It is a very personal moment for everyone involved, and our services seek to be meaningful. Do not hesitate to contact us at any time to talk about how we can help in a time of saying goodbye.
